Hope Sykes
Haleigh Cummings aunt is one of the family members who has been jailed for months has now learned her sentence.
She entered a guilty plea earlier this month.
Ronald Cummings was arrested along with his now-ex-wife Misty Croslin, her brother Tommy and Sykes in January.
They face multiple charges of trafficking hydrocodone.
Sykes is the first of the four to be sentenced.
After listening to the jail conversation last night and seeing how cocky she was with her mom about the sentencing, I can only imagine she might have been this way with the judge.
I didn’t think they would give them this much time but I guess either she was the first to be made an example of or she went in that courtroom with the same attitude, I can see her pissing the judge off and making this situation worst than what it could have been.

The court heard ‘Hopeless’ tell her mother that she will NOT do any ‘boot camp or rehab’…she wants to do her 15 and be done with it.
Just prior to being sentence, ‘garbage mouth’ said she was
‘upset’ when she was being taped and she now wants to turn her
life around and go to COLLEGE…..What a laugh that is…..
No one bought this ……and Judge LaRue must’ve been chuckling and brought down her sentence which she demanded on tape…..
15 years Min. Man. plus a hefty fine.
‘Hoepless’ will doing her COLLEGE in prison….the School of Hard Knocks…….where Big Bertha will be eyeing her carefully.
‘Garbage Mouth’ is now beginning her sentence…and I hope the others involved will be getting the same sentence when it’s their turn to face the Judge.

Could you explain yourself Cambell? Was she not selling drugs, along with Misty? And I’m sorry, FREE Misty Croslin?? The girl was a walking Pharmacy, for Gods sakes.

Hope should not have gotten that time, she was just a passenger in the car, although dumb to have gotten in that car for a drug deal but she didnt have anything to do with the deal. I think she should apeal! Wow murderers get less time. I dont agree with freeing misty though, she needs to fess up to what happened to the little girl.
The reason the sentence was so harsh, is that it is not her first drug charge, or her first felony. Hope all ready had her first and second chance.

these are not some big time dealers and I’m not even talking about Haleigh because that’s a whole different case and they need to treat it like that! cant someone do anything about that?? its just not fair. and i do believe hope was upset. wouldn’t you be upset if you were sitting in jail over nothing? when your mad you say anything plus they should not have gave her so much time because of WHAT SHE SAID. so unreal…

people are saying hope should tell the police what happened to Haleigh but maybe she knows nothing at all. 1 feel for this girl . 15 is to long for her. maybe a month for being in the car thats it.
15 years? what an outrage. I just got busted for trafficking of cocaine, directly to undercovers, and I got house arrest for 9 months.
I think 15 years is way too much time for this girl. Sure she shouldn’t of been in the car, she knew what was going on. But, 15 years??!! That’s crazy! I wonder if she had an attorney, and if she did why an appeal wasn’t filed immediately. Maybe she will get out early for good behaviour. P.S. I lived in a trailer for years and it didn’t make me stupid while residing there.
hope said she would take 15 years in prison and guess what she got it be careful what you wish for you might get it to bad she did t ask for 20-30 years dont be sad it wont be long before the rest of your friends join you.
