We have an accounting of the criminal records of both Haleigh’s biological parents: Ronald Cummings and Crystal Sheffield.
June 25, 2007 – providing false information regarding a crime – prosecution deferred and
July 2008 – traffic violation for driving while her license was suspended.
Sheffield complied with the terms of her deferment.

If she was what she is now trying topotray herself as-there would be no criminal history–Oh!! I know Ronald caused it!! Please girl-you have been to busy taking care of your new baby to give any thought of the other two–until this happened.Why i bet you didnt know anything about your little girls schooling-dont deny it-you anwsered questians-I remember you sating you didnt-did you call her once a day-no!!-i call my grands everyday to know whats going on-an these are my grands..those were her children-shame it takes a something bad happening to get the mothers attention!!
it doesnt matter to me what the mother has done in the past that little girl is still her daughter. It doesnt matter what happens between parents or whatever that lil girl and her brother are still her kids. How do we know what went wrong with their parents’ relationship? We shouldnt be asking. We should be worried bout that precious baby girl that is missing. Its sad to say but i watch the news bout this all the time and everytime i watch it certain people stand out. They seem suspicious by their actions and their choice of words. I am just like millions out there that just want to see that baby back home and justice to be served for the sick that took that baby from her own home. Im praying for ur safe return home haleigh and i wish her mom and dad to be strong and never ever give up.
i’m a mother myself and I can not imagine what I would do in this situation. But I do know I would be cooperative with police in finding my child or any child. It is terrible that this kind of stuff happens everyday somewhere. In my heart I do beleive the step mother knows exactly what happened. How she can live with herself I do not know. If in fact she is on drugs and I beleive that she is or was. Then she is hiding something. I have seen to many people on drugs to know they are always capable of anything even not on drugs their are people who do bad things because they are sick and twisted. I do not understand why no arrest have been made with this childs dissapearance. If Misty failed the polograph they should have aressted her right then for being deceptive. The longer this goes on the longer the lies grow and this baby does not have time to waste. I do believe she is with God and I feel something happened to her that night. I have felt that Misty had something to do with this since day one. She may have went out to party that night, who’s to say she didn’t give this child something to make her sleep and overdosed her by accident or not. But I can see her giving this child something to put her to sleep that early because some kids are hard to get to go to sleep at night and she wanted to go party and new the baby could tell. It is a sad thing that any human could take another humans life. I Prey for God to bless the familly and that this child be found. People think they can run forever but not long. May God be with you Haliegh wherever you are. Lord bless this family!
I feel sorry for Crystal. True, she’s not been the perfect mother, but she was young when she had Haleigh and Ron Jr. and lost them because she didn’t have a way to support them (Isn’t it true that Ron refused to let her get a drivers’ license, which would make it hard to get a good job, with insurance).
Crystal is older now and seems to be trying to do what’s right. She’s the only one in the family that seems like she’s gotten older and wiser.
Personally, I think Ron Cummings was involved in Haleigh’s disappearance. All that screaming and shouting when they called 9-1-1 seemed over the top, like ‘if I raise enough hell, they won’t suspect me’.
Compared to Ron and Misty, Crystal is a saint. She should have been given custody of her son as soon as the police started questioning Misty. (Misty failed two polygraphs). At this point, as sad as it may be, I don’t think she will ever be prosecuted.
I am trying to figure out why they put Misty Croslin in St. Johns County jail. Why protect someone who certainly holds the key to finding a precious child that she was supposed to be caring for? She should be put in the Putnam County Jail and recieve some tough love from other inmates. Sure on Nancy Grace she looks scared but she hasn’t taken any rough housing to shake her up.
And Ronald Cummings, he marries someone who “lost” his daughter. No way! If my girlfriend “lost” my son, and couldn’t be contacted for hours while I called from work, and I send someone by the house with no one being found, there are going to be some problems. The police would have been called and while I waited Misty would have been interogated severely before they arrived. How do you excuse the person who was the one responsible for your child when he/she disappeared, let alone marry this person? Unless you yourself were also involved. In the video of when they were busted Ronald asked the cop if he had any coke, because “I like to get high”. Did they trade Haliegh for drugs?
Looking at the family of Misty, none of them are fit to be parents. Her mother and father have no job, have no car, and are living with someone who is about to move out which renders them homeless. Misty is begging to be bonded out of jail and is going to stay with her mom and dad. Where are they going to stay?
I say deny them both of bond and postpone their court appearences as many times as possible in accordance with judicial guidelines. Neither of them deserve to be in society, nor should they be parents. Seeing what I have in the videos there seems to be no worries about Haliegh, it’s all about the drugs. If my son were to vanish, I really don’t think I’d be able to smile again.

In all the interviews that are show of heighles bio mother she is so phoney if you watch carefully she has not shed a tear she is wiping her eyes and no tears please watch this carefully she is faking it, she acts like she doesn’t want to mess up her make up at least misty cryed real tears. I think crystal should be looked into she is putting on like susan smith, Sorry but pay attention to the clips.
