A lawyer for the mother of a missing Florida girl slammed the child’s father in an interview, saying the little girl was exposed to a “typical sex, drugs and rock-and-roll lifestyle” before she disappeared.
Her 24-year-old father, Ronald Cummings, reported hid daughter Haleigh Cummings missing at 3AM on Feb. 9 when he got home from work. Haleigh vanished from the Satsuma-area trailer home where she was being cared for by his 17-year-old wife Misty Croslin.
“The particular lifestyle that we believe is led by Misty and Ronald Cummings is one that essentially laid out the red carpet to something at some point happening to these children, and something did,” Kim Picazio, an attorney for Crystal Sheffield, said in an interview Wednesday.
She said Misty and Ronald Cummings lead “your typical sex, drugs and rock-and-roll lifestyle that is not conducive to raising children.”
The family has reportedly been advised by legal counsel not to speak with the media. A call to Cummings’ lawyer also was not returned.
Misty Croslin has given various versions of the events of the fateful night to the media and Investigators from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office in 96 hours of questioning.
Misty claims she put Haleigh and 4-year-old brother Junior to bed, washed the bedding and then went to sleep in a bed 4 feet from the toddler. She awoke just before 3AM, went to the bathroom and upon returning to the bedroom found Kaleigh missing and a concrete block holding the backdoor open.
Rumors are spreading that Misty had a drug dealer boyfriend and she may have left that night and went to his house.
In my opinion it is likely that she did leave the kids alone that and possibly one of the other addicts that might have been there, realizing little Haleigh was alone left and abducted her.

Why interrogate these people until they talk? It’s my opinion Haleigh was being abused and she died due to the result of a beating perhaps due to drug use etc…I dont believe Ron is innocent by any means….I agree with you about the marriage thing, it was like a thank you, now shut the hell up….

I an a mother of five kids b4 that i am human it is beyond me how any person of any age can with hold info of a child ron said he married her 2 keep enemies closer whatever a ho is a deep and narrow ditch id the misty up and beat the shiv out of her till she told me what happened 2 my baby

Hot? LOL … whatever, but that is not the purpose of my post, for over a yea now i have watched this crap unfold and everyone seems to be forgetting the fact that there is a 5 year old girl missing and that should be the focus of attention, not Misty Croslin at this point. On the other hand having her behind bars looking at 25 years for drug trafficking will hopefully make the b*#ch talk about where this little girl Haleigh is. She knows more than she has let on, failed multiple lie detector tests and i strongly believe that Misty and Ron BOTH know what happened to little Haleigh, if not directly involved, then there lifestyle caught up with them and Haleigh is an INNOCENT victim of Ron and Misty’s Drug style life. I hope they both spend lots of time behind bars for these drug charges, it won’t bring any closure to the people who actually care about Haleigh, i hope Misty is scared to death in jail and i hope she rots in hell with Ronald by her side.

I am truely heartstricken over this child, As a mother of 3 boys of my own and the many other stray that my children have come home with over the years that were hungry, needed a bath, or just didn’t have a place to stay for the night. It is so amazing how many people have children who really dont give a damb about these kids. It mystifies me that any one could use the lane excuse that they were feared for their life, that they could let a greaving family suffer just one day wondering where their child is! In my theory Misty needs a lot of help. Only give her the same curitsy that she gave Haylie. But then she already had better has’nt she, she had a chance at life??? But she not the only one at blame here is she? How responsible is a man who has 2 small children, take up house with a teenage girl who is in to all the drugs and crimenal back ground of the family behind her? surly no one believes he didnt know what she was doing or was all about. Im not saying that he didnt care about his child, I Just think he was more in to his self than he was his children. These CHILDISH SELF CENTERED people to know that when you have kid they always come 1st NO MATTER WHAT.
